Another art work resulting from researching similar questions, with black bands and various shades of glowing reds, suggests to others sunsets, sea, central Australia and even tribal aspects.
From these increasingly it seemed that horizontals are `grounded’ and that shafts, stripes, ribbons of `light’ or colour suggest space and eternity. But actually when I am painting I am exploring forms, colours, edges and how to make the painting `work’.
